The patient arrived to the Calgary chiropractic office and said there knee had almost no pain. They said they felt 95% better. They were able to run for about 5km with no pain. Upon examination it was revealed that all point tenderness was gone. The patient had no pain while performing any of the orthopaedic tests. Upon dynamic evaluation the chiropractor noted it was patient tended to be more of a heal striker and was heavy footed.
The patient was shown some basic drills by the chiropractor to practice mid/forefoot running that would enable them to be lighter on there feet and decrease the chance of repeat injury. The patient was advised to slowly increase there mileage until the point where they could run the distance they wanted without pain.Leave a reply →
