Dr. Kamal Ikram (Chiropractor in Northwest Calgary)
Dr. Kamal Ikram graduated from the University of Western States in Portland Oregon with Clinic Honours designations.
Dr.Ikram has a strong background in sport, nutrition, fitness and bodybuilding. He played competitive hockey, basketball and volleyball before attending the University of Alberta for his undergraduate studies. Dr. Ikram’s past experience has included work with some of the top CFL players and Olympic athletes in Canada. As such, he has an excellent background in sport-specific training, rehabilitation and injury prevention. Dr. Ikram is fully certified in Active Release Techniques, Graston Technique, Acupuncture/Dry Needling and Kinesiotaping. Dr. Ikram also has a wide range of experience with a variety of patients. He has treated pediatric patients from the age of 3 weeks old all the up to senior patients at the age of 90.
Dr. Ikram uses a 3 prong approach for optimum health and function; joint manipulation, soft tissue work and rehabilitation exercise. He believes that success in sport/lifestyle is dependent on many factors, and therefore the body must be analyzed from a biomechanical, anatomical, and functional point of view, and treated accordingly.

Ms. Alyson Huang (MSc. PT) (Physiotherapist in Northwest Calgary)
Alyson Huang graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, School of Medical Rehabilitation Physical Therapy program at the University of Manitoba, with clinical training from Karolinska Medical Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. Aly has also completed a Bachelors degree in Criminology with a minor in Psychology. She is the recipient of Karen Hudson Memorial Physiotherapy Award, Marjorie Spence Physical Therapy Award, and the Arthritis Society of Manitoba/Nunavut Division in 2011. Aly has pursued further training in AA1 & AA2 acupuncture with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and the Orthopedic and Sports division. With certification in Level 1 Manual Therapy, and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA).
Aly has strong technical knowledge of the neuro-musculoskeletal system, experienced in working with a variety of patients including cardiac, traumatic brain injury and stroke rehabilitation. She has also worked with professional athletes including CFL players, Olympic athletes, and international experience in rehabilitating and conditioning dancers from the Swedish Royal Ballet. Aly’s treatment philosophy involves treating the body holistically and determining precipitating factors leading to dysfunction/injury in order to help patients reach their maximum potential with manual therapy, and individualized corrective exercise.
Aly is a competitive dancer, former member of Manitoba Bison Dance team, and Captain of Vincent Massey Co-ed Cheerleading Team. She enjoys golfing, snowboarding and is a strong believer in giving back to society, she has been a charity board member of Canadians Helping Kids in Vietnam since 2007; in which they have helped build schools for children, and carried out medical and dental missions to the most needed regions.

BernelleThiessen, RMT, is a fully trained and registered therapeutic massage therapist with experience treating a wide variety of soft-tissue injuries, including sports injuries, motor-vehicle accident injuries, repetitive strains and sprains, and can also provide relaxation massage. She is fully licensed with over 3000 hours.
